A control system worth putting your name on.
Every tech knows the legacy anti-sweat systems: callbacks, manufacturing liabilities, bypassed panels, and precision lacking control. The AS-20 is a different type of install, the one that holds. The Certified Installer program puts it in your hands: training from the manufacturer, a tech line that answers, install work routed to your territory, and direct incentive for replacing the legacy systems you already know about.
Five things, in order of what techs actually care about.
A system that doesn't call back
Case-by-case, dew-point-based control with frame feedback. In an independent VEIC head-to-head at a Hannaford store, this approach beat single-sensor panel systems decisively, because a panel system's savings collapse to the weakest case in the store and its failures show up as sweat on your customer's glass.
The data has your back
The AS-20 is self-monitoring. If a door ever sweats, Case Manager shows dew point, frame temperatures, heater runtime, and timestamps for that case. The record either clears you or finds the real cause. No other control you install comes with its own evidence.
A tech line that answers
Certified installers get a priority line to people who have pulled wire in machine rooms, not a ticket queue. Commissioning question at 6 AM before the store opens? That's what the line is for.
Work routed to your territory
When stores in your area contact ControlTec, the install goes to certified installers. You're not just certified to do the work; you're on the list that gets it.
Paid for what you already see
Find an uncontrolled or bypassed panel on a routine call, register it in the installer app, and it's your deal. We quote the customer within 48 hours. You never quote, never sell, never hand over a customer relationship. Details below.
You flag it. We quote it. You install it.
On a service call you find door heaters running uncontrolled, or a control panel someone jumped out years ago. Open the installer app, enter the store and door count, and the app shows your numbers: estimated install hours from our install standards, your install revenue at your rate, and your bonus. Submit, and the deal is registered to you. Tell the store "this panel's bypassed and you're paying full heater load around the clock; the manufacturer will send your office the numbers," and you're done. ControlTec quotes the customer within 48 hours. Pricing stays with us; the install and the relationship stay with you.
Install lane
The store is in your service scope: you get the install job at your labor rate, plus a per-door bonus when the deal closes, plus a premium when you're replacing a bypassed or failed system.
Referral lane
The store is a ControlTec house account or outside your area: you get a flat referral fee when the deal closes. Every registration pays one way or the other.
Bonuses pay on closed installs. Registered deals are protected: you flagged it, you install it, with house accounts defined in writing in the program terms before your first registration.
The panels you bypassed are worth recovering.
Every jumped-out anti-sweat panel is a store running its door heaters at full load, around the clock, year after year. You know where they are. You were there.
Register the find, and when the store replaces it with an AS-20 you install, you're paid twice: once for the discovery, once for the install, with a premium on every bypassed system brought back under control. Not a finder's fee for handing someone else your customer. Recovery work, done by the tech who knew where the stranded load was, on equipment that finally deserves to stay wired in.
